Starting out as a soccer writer back when blogging was cool (and wasn’t on Substack), I’ve carved out a niche as an author of non-fiction explainers – including three in the “For Dummies” series.

I’ve also written for publications including The Blizzard, Grantland and the websites of numerous federations, leagues and professional teams.

My passion for writing and editing led me to launch XI Quarterly, a print publication that explored the culture of American soccer.
