About

Tom Dunmore is a sports executive with over 15 years of experience leading marketing and communications teams across a range of clubs, leagues and events.

Most recently, Dunmore led marketing for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the USA, the first-ever major international cricket event to take place in the United States, driving “unprecedented interest for cricket in the United States.”

Prior to that, Dunmore served as the Vice-President of Marketing for Major League Cricket, helping to successfully launch the first professional cricket league in the United States in 2023.

 
Previously, Dunmore led marketing for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the world’s largest single-day sporting event, the Indianapolis 500.

In 2013, Dunmore helped launch Indy Eleven of the United Soccer League Championship as its Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Operations. The club sold-out its entire inaugural season in 2014, developing one of the strongest supporter cultures in the nation.

Dunmore has also advised and worked with multiple other professional soccer clubs in various capacities, including the Chicago Fire of MLS and the Chicago Red Stars of the NWSL. He also served as the Chairman of Section 8 Chicago, the Independent Supporters Association of the Chicago Fire.
 
In addition, Dunmore is an author of multiple publications including Soccer for Dummies, Cricket for Dummies, a Historical Dictionary of Soccer and has been a contributor to numerous publications including ESPN Grantland and USSoccer.com.

Based in Denver, Tom loves to play soccer and enjoy the outdoors with his family, chasing his sons Jack and Jonny down the ski slopes and hiking trails of Colorado.
